First, I need to give you a little background on the situation that brought SERVPRO and Chance to our doorstep. My 87-year-old neighbor had the water input line to her toilet break, flooding her entire house. Being a widower, she was trying to clean up some of the water and tripped on the step on the way out to her garage, spraining her ankle. The Fire Department responded, turning off the water main and taking her to the emergency room. SERVPRO was called in to start the cleanup process and restore normal. That's when Chance arrived and took total control of the situation, explaining everything that was going to happen and how the insurance company will work with SERVPRO as the claim was being filed.
Communicating with an 87-year-old woman is challenging in itself, not to mention her state of mind with the stress of a flooded home and no family members in the State of Florida to help her through the ordeal. Chance did an excellent job making her feel comfortable and safe as the cleanup crew began soaking up the water. He always kept her safety in mind and was very concerned with her staying in the home with so many safety hazards. At the conclusion of each day, Chance would sit down with her and let her know what work had been completed and what to expect in the morning when he returned. He managed the overall project extremely well from start to finish.
At the end of the day your employees carry the success and future of your company, and Chance did just that. I would highly recommend SERVPRO and Chance in the future to anyone going through a traumatic situation such as this.
