Storm Damage in Cape Coral – Up Close & Personal

Tornadoes are ominous and devastating. Here is a photo of the January 2016 EF2 that victimized 2000 Cape Coral residents. Unlike other types of storm damage, tornadoes give virtually no warning. When they strike, they cause tremendous destruction. Time on the ground was just seven minutes. It's path covered a distance of just 3.5 miles. But in that brief amount of time and distance 2000 residents were impacted and the estimated monetary damage caused was 6 million dollars. The power that nature can unleash is frightening. The real tragedy is the suffering and losses of all those affected. Amazingly there were no serious injuries reported. We are all thankful for that.
