Working Quickly to Restore Water Damage to this Boca Grande Construction Site

One of the things that our Cape Coral franchise works hard to provide to all of our clients is fast response times. Even for structures that are still under construction, disasters and accidents can leave the job site with extensive damages that require immediate attention to resolve and recover. Without striving to uphold that We’re Faster To Any Size Disaster, this construction site might have fallen well behind schedule on their estimated completion.

As you can see from the video, our Cape Coral team was called out to begin restoration and extraction work on a large government facility still under construction in the area. Mistakenly, one of the employees on the site had broken off one of the sprinkler heads, which allowed a high volume of water to spread quickly throughout the structure. Within a brief period, 80 percent of the 22,000 square foot building was affected by the damages. Our technicians needed to work quickly to restore these effects.

Water damage like this requires a focus beginning with extraction. Most of the pooled water could get removed by technicians using portable pumps. Many air movers were also used to provide faster drying possibilities to various areas of the building. As you can see in the video, we brought along many air movers and even our industrial sized dehumidification equipment.

This tool uses a two-fold approach to eliminating moisture in the regions its hoses get directed. One of the two hoses, which you can see shortly into this video, pulls moisture out of the area. The other forces overly dry air into the same area to displace the dampness. These hoses are extendable in fifty-foot sections, allowing them to reach anywhere in the facility from one stationary location.

Our technicians understand that when substantial water loss incidents occur, the clock is ticking to get the damage resolved. We are proud to report that because of our personnel, equipment and fast response time, our SERVPRO of Cape Coral franchise was able to keep this construction on schedule for completion.
